Imagine living in a town where vegetables grew at the railroad station, potatoes in front of the police station, herbs on the sidewalks, and all could be yours for the taking, for free. Sound too good to be true?
It’s not for the people in Todmorden in the U.K. They have decided that their goal is to grow all their own produce by the year 2018. An ambitious goal, for sure, but they have gotten off to a good start.
They want a town where people concentrate on giving and sharing. And an interesting side effect has been that vandalism has increased every year since they started the project.
